Welcome to my art gallery

I have opened this new website to display samples of my artwork.

I work at the moment primarily with color pencil and with graphite/charcoal.

With color pencils I’ve focused so far mostly on still lifes. I use burnishing (heavy pressure with a blunt point) and brushed solvent techniques to get a more smooth, painterly look as compared to the usual grainy texture of color pencils.

With the graphite/charcoal I do still lifes but also portraits and works with other themes, particularly spaceflight. I’m striving to achieve trompe-l’œil effects in a series of space themed works.
